This is a sandwich roll that is hand shaped and made with Italian dough.
Description: This bread has a moist crumb and a crisp crust, and a flat elongated shape. This roll is used by chefs around Philly for all sorts of hot and cold sandwiches. Some of our favorite uses are slice at an angle, toast and serve with olive oil, salt and freshly ground black pepper for dipping. Slicing the roll, layering cheese and tomatoes and grilling.
Ingredients: Flour, Natural Levain Starter, Barley Malt, Filtered Water, Salt, Yeast, Onion, Nutmeg, Black Pepper, Salt
Storage: This is a fresh bread with no preservatives, it will keep on your counter for a few days. You can freeze the rolls and use as need. We suggest keeping out what you'll use in a few days and freezing the remainder to pull out as needed. Never put fresh baked bread in the refrigerator, this will take the crunch out of the crust and cause the product to go stale.
