Shanes Chocolate Works

Shane Chocolate Works is the bean-to-bar chocolate arm of Shane Confectionery, America\'s oldest candy store. They craft cacao beans into finished chocolate using a combination of traditional and modern techniques. They source beans from all over the world, paying a premium to farmers. In their chocolate cafe, they showcase their work as an ever-evolving line of chocolate bars, bon bons, and drinking chocolates. They use cacao as a medium to tell stories. It can be traced through history, shaping and connecting cultures to provide a global framework for the chocolate we enjoy today. Through their chocolate making process, they hope to highlight the vital work of the farmers who grow and harvest cacao, and to honor the long tradition of chocolate making here in Philadelphia.
