Jam: Sour Cherry Marmalade

Out of stock

Description: We believe in using fruit that's fresh and local. With this in mind, when making jams, we work with each fruit as it comes into season in our area. In June we're making strawberry jams and by late August, we are starting on the peaches. Occasionally, we freeze fresh fruits to ensure that the demand is met. There is a downside to the way we produce our jams; when one variety sells out, it's gone until the next growing season. The upside; you know the jam was made when the fruit was at its peak. All of our jams (even the pepper jams) are great on everything from basic bread and beyond. All fruits and peppers are purchased fresh from local (Lancaster County, PA) farmers. All herbs are either grown on premise or purchased from local farmers that we know and trust.  14 servings per jar.

Ingredients: Organic Sugar, Sustainably Grown Cherries, Pectin, Cloves.

Storage: Refrigerate after opening.

Christina Maser

It all started somewhere around 1990 when a friend of Gretchen\'s (aka, Christina) taught her to make jam -- thanks Eileen! Thinking back to that first batch of strawberry jam...wow! Jam making led to gardening for herbs, which led to soap making, and finally led to candle making. They\'ve grown a long way from their humble beginnings. What began as a one-woman operation quickly grew to a handful of helpers in a home basement. Now, they operate out of a downtown Lancaster workshop with their small, woman-driven team. Their products are entirely handmade with all-natural ingredients, and they source locally whenever possible. They are fortunate to be in the land of abundance in Lancaster County where, come summertime, their kitchen overflows with fresh fruits, herbs, and peppers from local farmers. Their mission at Christina Maser Co. is to support their community and local businesses in an earth-conscious way.
