Description: Crispbread, or as we Norwegian-folk call it: Knekkebrød is a staple in all Scandinavian homes. The theory behind Norwegian Baked is to share our decades-old tradition with you and your loved ones. It’s naturally wheat-free and utilizes organic whole grains like rye flour, oat bran and oats as well as organic nutrient-rich seeds such as pumpkin, sunflower, sesame and flax. This fibrous, low-carb Crispbread is the perfect accompaniment to any meal.

Uses: For breakfast, smear on some nut butter and a sprinkle of fruit or if you fancy something more savory, a fried egg will do just fine. Lunchtime brings a multitude of "sandwich" options from smoked salmon to egg salad; you can top Crispbread with almost anything. And don't forget dinnertime... Ingredients: organic rye flour, organic oats, organic sunflower seeds, organic pumpkin seeds, organic oat bran, organic flax seeds, organic sesame seeds, organic extra virgin olive oil, organic psyllium husk, baking powder, water, and sea salt. Baked in a facility that processes tree nuts, peanuts, and wheat. 

Storage: Store in a dry and dark place.

How did Norwegian Baked begin? It all traces back to that one summer at home in Norway...there was a luscious just-baked scent floating through the air and I followed my senses straight to my Aunt Liv’s kitchen. There, I found her baking the most delectable Crispbread. It was love at first bite and she taught me how to craft them using our decades-old family recipe. I was hooked. So back to my second, more permanent home in Brooklyn I went, where I started experimenting with the family recipe and serving it to friends and family (lucky them!). Altering the ingredients a few times to find the perfect balance, I finally honed it. Thus, Norwegian Baked was born. Baked fresh in Brooklyn using organic ingredients and whole grains like rye flour and oats, Norwegian Baked Knekkebrød is naturally wheat-free and vegan-friendly. Taste the nutrient-rich seeds such as sunflower, pumpkin, sesame and flax while soaking up all of the fibrous and nourishing benefits. These Crispbreads are nut-free without compromising on that savory nutty taste and not to mention, they come with a short and clean ingredients list.
