Mushrooms: Black Pearl Oyster

$10.99

8 oz

The black pearl or black king mushroom is a meaty, gilled mushroom that has a similar profile to the traditional blue oyster mushroom mixed with a king oyster mushroom. Some may say the best of both worlds. This variety has numerous cooking applications. Two favorite ways to cook the black pearl are on the grill or sautéed in a pan. These can be added to nearly any dish, from pasta to flat bread to eggs. They are best with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder, or a general Italian seasoning.

Recipe: Check our own recipe for Native American Tapas. It combines sautéed black oyster and fry bread.

Storage: Store your mushrooms tight together! Transfer the mushrooms to a storage container that can fit the mushrooms in a small area. The tighter the wrapping the better! If you don’t have tupperware - transfer the mushrooms into a ziplock bag.
