Coffee: Ethiopia - Yirgacheffe Asfaw Maru
Out of stock
Description: Hill Road Coffee Roasters coffee beans are roasted to a variety of medium levels. This way the subtle and sometimes extreme differences between the coffee origins and processes can be tasted. This natural processed grade 1 beauty is produced by Asfaw Maru, a smallholder in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples’ Region (SNNPR). Asfaw owns and operates a 13 hectare farm that has the capacity for up to 18,000 KG of green coffee each year. This micro-lot was grown organically but was not certified. The ripe coffee cherries were picked and then dried on raised beds for 15 days by Tesfaye Roba Dry Mill. The SNNPR region is one of the ten ethnically based regional states in Ethiopia with a population of approx. 19 million. Specifically this coffee was grown in the Gedeb district of the Gedeo zone within the SNNPR.
