Miso: White

Description: The classic. White miso is generally a little younger, a little sweeter, and a little lower on salt than more intense miso, while still packing an umami punch. This makes it versatile and easy to use: make a quick broth for a traditional miso soup, use as a base for sushi bar-style miso vinaigrette, or get creative and use this anywhere you’d season with salt! 

Ingredients: Water, Organic Soybeans (New Covenant Farm, PA), Carolina Gold Rice (Marsh Hen Mill, MD), Salt, Koji Spore

Storage Instructions: Miso is not perishable, strictly speaking. All of Keepwell's miso has fermented for months at room temperature. However, they do not pasteurize or treat the miso with ethyl alcohol to stabilize it, so its quality will suffer in warm, uncontrolled conditions.
