Prepared Meals: General Tso's Vegan Chick'n
Out of stock
Description: A healthy and meat-free twist on the original dish, our chick'n is soy-free and gluten-free made with dal lentils and pea protein. Konjac adds texture and tenderness like real chicken. This chick'n does not have the strong taste of soy like most meat alternatives. General Tso's Chicken was created in Taipei, Taiwan, by chef Pen Chang-keui in the 1950s after the Chinese Civil War and upon his exile from Hunan, China. He named the dish after his hometown hero, General Tso Tsung-t'ang, and started serving it in New York where he opened his first restaurant in 1973. Legend says former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger was a regular at his restaurant and his love of this dish made it popular. Our vegan chicken is battered and cooked before being tossed in our sweet and tangy sauce. Paired with broccoli and jasmine rice, you'll be able to enjoy your favorite Chinese dish guilt-free! This item is one meal.
