This exceptional lot was grown across the mountainous, sun-drenched family farms of Ohuapan, Mexico. Crafted through generations of passed-down agricultural traditions, these hand-harvested cherries mature slowly under the area’s cool mountain temperatures and fertile volcanic soils. By selecting only the ripest fruit before careful processing, local producers have created an incredibly versatile coffee that perfectly showcases the balance and approachable charm of Mexican specialty lots.

With a smooth medium body, gentle low-medium acidity, and a vibrant medium-high sweetness, this cup bursts with rich, layered flavors of decadent dark chocolate, rich caramel, sweet dried cherry, and a bright touch of grapefruit citrus. It’s an incredibly inviting offering that celebrates ancestral craft, family tradition, and a clean, lingering finish, making it a standout choice whether enjoyed as a cozy brewed coffee or a dynamic espresso in every sip.

Producer description

Raker Roasting & Trading Company (Raker!), formerly Moonraker Coffee Roasters, was born from a shared love of exceptional coffee. In 2020, three friends from Philadelphia (Eddie Quinn, Liam Woods, and Dan Beebie) set out to build a roasting company that focused on building relationships at origin that helped make great coffee both approachable & sustainable. From humble roots and a DIY tenacity, Raker graduated from pickup trucks, storage lockers, and basements to a full-fledged roastery focused on farms with regenerative approaches to their cultivation in the coffee belt.  Our Director of Coffee, Chris Woods, roasts daily from our location in Kensington at 2100 E Willard St, Phila, PA +34.
