Duck eggs are super high in protein and are great for baking because they have a rich, smooth orange yolk. Duck eggs can sometimes have a flavor or aroma best described as wild, or gamy. Because of its larger yolk, scrambled duck eggs will have a richer, creamier flavor than ordinary scrambled eggs. These duck eggs are soy-freeand come from pasture raised, gmo-free and antibiotic-free ducks raised at Gobbler's Ridge Farm.

These soy-free Duck eggs are bigger than chicken eggs. That means they have more of everything in them: more fat, more cholesterol, more protein, and more calories. They are also higher in Omega 3s and have an extremely long shelf life (6 weeks if you keep them refrigerated). Duck eggshells come in a much more varied array of colors. Imagine white, various shades of grey, light green, brown, speckled, to a nearly black egg, depending on the breed of the duck. But just like chicken eggs, the color of the shell has no relation to the flavor or other properties of the egg.

Producer description

Gobbler’s Ridge Farm is a farm nestled in Lancaster County where the wild turkeys gobble in the morning and the deer graze in the night. It is also a place where Henry Esh & his wife live, work and play with their seven children.

Gobbler’s Ridge is all about raising nutritious, healthy food, while improving soil, environment and community. Henry and family do this by raising animals on grass, with no antibiotics, chemicals, GMOs, or hormones. They encourage pollinators, wildlife and birds by planting trees, native plants, and preserving the wild bird habitat.
