Ramps are wild foraged and are coveted spring gems! They have a unique flavor that's strong than leeks but not more garlicky than scallions.
Description: Harvested straight from the wild by skilled forager, David Siller, each bunch is approximately a 1/4 lb. Ramps look like scallions, but they're smaller and slightly more delicate. Their taste stronger is than a leeks, and are more pungently garlicky than a scallion. These are coveted spring gems and must be foraged from the great outdoors. David works to harvest sustainably and responsibly to prevent damaging or harming the production of ramps the area.
Uses: Try ramps on pizza, as pickles, as a jam, grilled, in a vinaigrette, or even as escabeche.
Storage: Wrap the roots and ends with a lightly damp paper towel and store in a plastic bag or container with lid.
